BRAMSON ORT COLLEGE

Bramson ORT College has a campus in Forest Hills, Queens and an extension center in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. Bramson ORT College offers quality college programs in business, technology and health services that meet the educational and career needs of a diverse New York community. Associate degree programs include accounting, business management, computer technology, electronics technology, office technology, pharmacy technician and medical assistant. Our latest exciting program is in renewable energy which is training students towards getting “Green Jobs”. Bramson ORT College has enrolled 975 students as of the Spring 2010 semester, with our enrollment growing every semester.

The school serves American students as well as immigrants from 40 countries. Both campuses specialize in programs that include a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and Associate degrees for students who have not completed high school. The College also has a stand alone Associate Degree program that provides students with training and skills to enter the job market. The Career Services department has over an 80% job placement rating for our students. The curriculum includes Jewish educational courses as well as general education, including American history and culture.

ORT E-LEARNING CENTER

The ORT E-Learning Center, located at Bramson ORT College's Brooklyn campus, supplements traditional tutoring with tools using advance technology that has been created specifically for the purpose of guiding children through difficult academic tasks. Spanning from pre-school level up to middle school, the program emphasizes study skills in order to help students excel in all subjects.

The techniques developed in the ORT E-Learning Center, the curriculums, as well as personal expertise could be used in other centers throughout the nation. The same model could function in a variety of community contexts and be a founding block for a national initiative. Centers can provide a platform for Jewish students to spend time excelling their academics, while being immersed in a Jewish environment.
